Global Controlling - Worldwide Implementation of Oracle Financial Analyzer®
For a global operating holding company the Oracle Financial Analyzer should be implemented to the worldwide subsidiaries. Oracle Financial Analyzer is a comprehensive controlling software for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and planning by applying schedular sheets and charts.
In cooperation with Oracle we firstly developed the requirements for the server configuration and workstations. Our major task during this project was the technical realization. At the beginning of our project work we conducted a comprehensive investigation of the actual state. Guided by the questions 'what kind of network connections do we have to our disposal in the respective countries' and 'what kind of infrastructure do we find on the different sites' we picked up every information to formulate the demands on the infrastructure.
We noticed that also countries were involved, whose technical standard did not yet correspond to the european level and that the technical equipment showed deficits at several sites. In these cases, it was necessary to draw up alternatives in order to create the conditions for standardized operating environment everywhere.
